Noor Theatre in association with The Freedom Theatre presents:

Readings of excerpts from The Revolution's Promise & And Here I Am

Tuesday, November 1st @ 7:00 p.m. Eastern

Lebanese American University NYC campus, 211 E 46th St, New York, NY 10017

More about the event:

As artists continue to face brutal censorship across Palestine, you’re invited to join us for an evening exploring the power of culture as a tool for resistance, with excerpts from The Revolution’s Promise and And Here I Am.

The Revolution’s Promise is a collection of testimonies detailing the risks and violent attacks Palestinian artists are experiencing. With the chair of The Freedom Theatre’s board Bilal Al-Saadi, recently imprisoned without charge or trial, telling these stories globally has never been so crucial.

Written by Hassan Abdulrazzak, And Here I Am is actor Ahmed Tobasi’s coming-of-age story, following his transformation from armed resistance fighter to artist, and his journey as a refugee from the West Bank to Norway and back again. Tobasi is The Freedom Theatre’s current Artistic Director and will read excerpts from Palestine after being refused a visa to the US.
