May: Tony Noms, FADWA previews start next week, and more!

Our producing partner, New York Theatre Workshop, received twenty (20!) Tony Award nominations for Once (Best Musical) and Peter and the Starcatcher (Best Play) which both originated at NYTW before transferring to Broadway. Read all about it in the New York Times. NYTW productions, including Advisory Board member Lisa Peterson’s An Iliad, also won Lortel Awards and nods from the New York Critics Circle! “We try to support artists we believe in and connect to, and help nurture wonderful work by staying focused on the relationships rather than dictating the end product,” says Artistic Director, James Nicola. As a Company-in-Residence at NYTW and co-producer, we at Noor Theatre are proud to share our first play with this supportive and brave company and to be part of this stellar group of artists.
